I am presently living and working in the beautiful city of Rijeka, Croatia. I am working as an experimental solid-state/condensed matter physicist in Laboratory for Surface and Materials Science, which is a joint laboratory of University of Rijeka Department of Physics and Centre for Micro and Nano Sciences and Technologies located in University departments building.

Experience

Application of synchrotron radiation and X-ray Photoemission Spectoscopy (XPS) techniques on semiconductor materials. Acquainted and worked on several electron spectroscopy methods at the National Synchrotron Radiation Research Centre in Hsinchu, Taiwan.

Yes, Robert is my name and Peter is my surname. Searching for my own papers when filling out user profiles in scientific paper databases provides me with a lot of fun every time (and also takes a while). It seems to me that many Roberts and Peters are doing physics and other sciences. :-)

On a somewhat related note, there is an expression dating from the middle ages robbing Peter to pay Paul.
